Injury Update: Cara Henderson, Lucy Sinclair and Clare Docherty

Partick Thistle Women’s FC are devastated to announce that both Cara Henderson and Lucy Sinclair have suffered Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries in the recent away match against Dundee United, with Henderson also suffering a torn meniscus.

Both players had the news confirmed last week after scans and will now undergo surgery before facing a lengthy period of recovery and rehabilitation supported by the club’s medical staff.

The injury mirrors that which Cheryl McCulloch and Taylor McGlashan have recently successfully come back from.

Both players will have the full support of everyone at the club over the coming months and we look forward to welcoming both of them back in Red and Yellow as soon as they are able.

Clare Docherty also suffered a serious injury in the same match, being stretchered off and taken to ninewells hospital where it was confirmed she suffered a double fracture in her arm. The injury will unfortunately see her miss the rest of the season.

We know all Thistle supporters will share the sentiments of us all in wishing Cara, Lucy and Clare all the very best for their surgery and subsequent recoveries.
