Partick Thistle Football Club this week signed up with Nuffield Health, Fitness & Wellbeing, Milngavie as official health and wellbeing partner for the 2018/19 season.
As official health and wellbeing partner for the upcoming season Nuffield will be providing access to its gym facilities at its Strathblane Road club in Milngavie for the entire men’s and women’s first team squads. The players will be able to use the club’s fully equipped, state of the art, gym, swimming pool and leisure facilities.

Speaking at the announcement of the partnership, first team manager, Alan Archibald, said:
“Having access to the Milngavie club is an absolutely massive boost for this season’s campaign. The facilities are absolutely first class and will hopefully help our players to hit the elite level of fitness and physicality required to compete at the top end of Scottish football.
“We have always had an excellent relationship with Nuffield and players from both first teams are regular visitors to the club. I for one look forward to that relationship continuing and hope that Nuffield can play an important part in making this a successful campaign for us.”
Also included in the new partnership is a bonus for Jags fans with Nuffield offering a free gym pass on production of a match ticket / season ticket*.
General Manager at Nuffield’s Milngavie Club, Sam Hopper, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to launch this new partnership and we’re really looking forward to seeing the first team players up at the club during the season. We all know how much of a role fitness plays in competitive sport and we’ll be doing everything we can to help the Jags achieve their goals this season.
“Our clubs aren’t just for elite athletes though and we want to encourage Thistle fans to come up for a visit too. That’s why we’re offering gym passes to anyone who produces a match ticket or season ticket at our Milngavie club. We really want to see Thistle fans in the gym training alongside their favourite players – who knows, you might pick up some tips.”
As part of the deal, Nuffield Health Fitness & Wellbeing will sponsor Partick Thistle ladies social media posts and will also have trackside branding at the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill.
