The club can today announce that we will head to Loch Park on Saturday, 6th July to take on Glenafton Athletic as part of our 2024/25 pre-season preparations.
Taking place a week in advance of our Premier Sports Cup group stage opener against Montrose at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill, this match was planned as part of the transfer agreement for Luke McBeth when he joined in January.
Our first meeting of any kind with the Glens, the game is currently our only scheduled open doors friendly of the summer with ticket prices set at £7 for adults and £5 for concessions.
This fixture will be pay-at-the-gate exclusively with no online ticket sales available.
Loch Park, Glenafton’s home since the 1960s, is located within walking distance of New Cumnock train station which is accessible from Glasgow Central station.
As most fans will be aware, club legend Gerry Collins sadly passed away recently following a long battle with illness. Gerry was also a much-loved figure at Glenafton having led them to a cup double during the 2005/06 season and as such a minute’s applause will be held in Gerry’s memory at next month’s friendly.
