It’s consecutive McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month awards for Thistle goalkeeper Jamie Sneddon who has scooped the November award after a fierce vote with Tunji Akinola, Ross Docherty and Kevin Holt.
It was a month where Thistle climbed into the promotion play-off places in the cinch Championships and the club records kept tumbling for the Jags number one. No goals were scored against Thistle throughout the calendar month while Jamie also became the first goalkeeper in Thistle history to go seven consecutive competitive games without conceding a goal. All this after setting a new club record for consecutive league clean sheets – a run which extends back to October.
After picking up his award, Jamie said:
“I’m very proud to pick up this award but it could have gone to anyone in the team after such a good month for Thistle. I was aware of the league clean sheets record after almost doing it last season, but it is down to the entire defence that we managed to make history.
“We’ve had a really good November which set us up for a really important December and we’ll be looking to keep picking up the points to stay as close to the top of the league as possible.”
Congratulations also to McCrea FS who were, for the first time, named in the annual Citywire New Model Adviser Top 100 list for independent financial advisory firms in the UK as well as being the only Independent Advisory firm in the UK to receive the 2021 Gold Standard Award for Retirement Planning. McCrea Financial Services MD and lifelong Thistle fan Douglas McCrea joined Jamie as well as recent Glasgow Warriors player of the month Rory Darge to celebrate the hat-trick of wins.
