Partick Thistle can today confirm that Jamie Sneddon has signed a contract extension which takes his Firhill stay to the end of the 2023/24 campaign, subject to SFA approval.
The 25 year old goalkeeper has already spent six years at the club after signing from Cowdenbeath in the summer of 2017. Making his debut for the club in 2018, Jamie has gone on to feature more than 100 times for Thistle, in a career which is already littered with breathtaking moments and big saves at vital times.
A key part of the Thistle squad which won the 2020/21 League One title, Jamie is also a club record holder having recorded eight consecutive clean sheets in all competitions for the club in late 2021. Not content with setting records at the back, Jamie has also created a unique goalscoring record by becoming the first Jags goalkeeper to score from open play with a 95th minute header in a cinch Championship fixture against Cove Rangers.
With pre-season just days away, Jamie becomes the latest to put pen to paper for the season ahead with a new contract that will see him remain at Firhill for the next 12 months.
