Jamie Taggart heads to Kirkintilloch Rob Roy on loan

Partick Thistle FC can today confirm that Jamie Taggart has joined West of Scotland Football League side Kirkintilloch Rob Roy on loan for the remainder of the season, subject to Scottish FA clearance.

Still in the first year of his modern apprenticeship with the club, Jamie recently returned from a loan spell with Gartcairn and now heads to Guy’s Meadow to work under Danny Ferry.

The Rabs currently sit 12th in the WoSFL Premier Division and Jamie could make his debut as they host Beith Juniors a week on Saturday.

Everyone at the club wishes Jamie the very best for the duration of his loan spell.

Thistle boss Kris Doolan said:

“Jamie only signed his first full-time deal with the club last summer but we’ve been really impressed with him when he’s been training with us. That being said, we still feel it’s in his best interest to go out on loan again and get more playing time.

“This move gives him that opportunity and will serve him much better than sitting in the stands every weekend. He’ll still be able to do some training with us so hopefully the combination of the two will help him push on as a player.”
