Partick Thistle WFC are excited to confirm that defender Jenna Ferguson will be returning to Petershill Park for the 2024/25 season as a fully-fledged Jag subject to SFA clearance.
Ferguson joins on a permanent deal from Rangers having spent the 23/24 campaign on loan with Brian Graham’s side helping the team achieve a top six finish and make it to the Sky Sports Cup final.
Still aged just 18, Jenna made 24 appearances in total for the Jags last season including 12 starts. She made her debut against Dundee United on the opening day of the league season, putting in a very impressive performance during a 4-0 victory.
The centre-half also gained international experience while on loan with Thistle as she was called up to the Scotland under 19s squad, featuring most recently in a 3-0 win over Albania in April.
Jenna said: “I really enjoyed my time at Thistle last season so it was an easy decision to make to come back permanently.
“I got a lot of experience of first team football and I feel it really helped me grow and improve as a player. Hopefully I’ll be able to do more of that again next season.
“After such a good season for the team last year, I’m excited to get back and look to improve on that next season”
Manager Brian Graham said:
“I was really keen to keep Jenna for next season so I’m delighted we’ve managed to do that.
“For such a young player she is so calm and composed on the ball, especially for a central defender. She’s still only 18-years-old so can still improve so much and that is what the coaching staff and myself are here for.
“We’re starting to piece together the squad for next season and Jenna will be an important part of that”
