Ji Stevenson makes temporary switch to Cumnock Juniors

Partick Thistle FC can today confirm that Ji Stevenson has joined West of Scotland Football League side Cumnock Juniors on loan for the remainder of the season, subject to Scottish FA clearance.

Ji spent the first part of the campaign on loan with Clyde in cinch League 2 playing 18 times and scoring once before returning to Maryhill earlier this month.

Now he heads to Townhead Park to join up with the Nock and could make his debut as early as Saturday when they face Irvine Meadow at home.

Everyone at the club wishes Ji the very best for the duration of his loan spell.

Thistle manager Kris Doolan said:

“With Ji having played for the first team here at the start of the season and then Clyde, he wasn’t able to go back out on loan to the SPFL but the option was still there to join a club at a lower level so we’re pleased we’ve been able to arrange this move.

“It means he’ll get the chance to play games every week and develop his abilities in a competitive environment which I strongly believe is the way to go for young players. Hopefully he enjoys the move and comes back a better player for it.”
