Partick Thistle can today confirm that Joe Cardle has penned a contract extension which will keep him at the club until May 2021.
The creative winger has been a regular in the Jags side over the last 18 months contributing four goals and nine assists during Thistle’s 2019/20 campaign.
Everyone at Firhill looks forward to seeing Joe on the Firhill turf in red and yellow next season.
Thistle manager Ian McCall said:
“I’m pleased that Joe has put pen to paper on a new contract as I have a feeling that he has a big season ahead. He’s a terrific trainer and has been looking after himself during the lockdown so he’ll come back in terrific shape with a real hunger to go out and perform on the pitch on a Saturday afternoon.
“Joe is a model professional with bags of experience under his belt. We’ve got some young players in our squad next season and he’ll be a great example to them in the dressing room.”
As Joe is currently on furlough, JagZone will catch up with Thistle’s number seven when he reports for pre-season training.
