Both the Club and the Lambie family have been extremely touched to see the growing number of tributes left for John at the main entrance of The Colin Weir Stand since his passing last week.
It is likely that further tributes will be added on match day. With that in mind and having advised the Lambie family, Partick Thistle staff will move all of the flowers, scarves, flags and shirts to the large grass area at the top of South Drive on Friday afternoon to allow space for both Thistle and Hamilton Accies fans to leave something in memory of John in this location if they wish. The gate to that area will be closed overnight from 5pm and will reopen at 10am.
Following Saturday’s game, shirts, scarves and flags will be passed on to the Lambie family.
