It isn’t just Kris Doolan celebrating his 10th year at Partick Thistle this season with the Club’s unique Kids Go Free initiative also enjoying a decade of success in Maryhill.
This year is extra special for Kids Go Free as the Club, for the first time ever, is able to announce a sponsor for the initiative as McDonald’s Maryhill comes on board for the upcoming season.
With more than 250 under 16s signed up to free season tickets for the Ladbrokes Championship season – the scheme is as popular as ever.
McDonald’s Maryhill, which has recently undergone a major refurbishment and is situated less than a mile from The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill, already has an association with the Club having sponsored the Community Champion initiative for the past two seasons.
Partick Thistle Commercial Manager, Ross Quaile, said:
“It’s great to have McDonald’s Maryhill on board for another season and for them to be supporting Kids Go Free in its 10th year is brilliant. Andy and his team have always been superb to deal with and we look forward to working more closely than ever with them this season.”
McDonald’s Maryhill Franchise Owner, Andy Gibson, said:
“We love being part of the Maryhill community so we are delighted to once again be partnering with such a massive part of that community in the form of Partick Thistle Football Club. Everyone in the area knows about Kids Go Free and we think it is a fantastic initiative that we are really proud to be supporting this season.
“It’s been a really busy period for us recently but, with a total refit on the restaurant, we are as ready and raring to go as the first team and supporters are. We can’t wait to get involved and support the club in whatever way we can this season.”
