Partick Thistle Women’s FC is extremely pleased to announce that Kim Murphy has agreed a deal to stay with the club for the 2022/23 season.
The former Kilmarnock left-back has played a big part on and off the pitch for the Jags since joining the club alongside Colette Fleming and Clare Docherty back in 2019.
Kim made 15 appearances in total during the shortened 2020/21 season before going on to feature 23 times for Brian Graham’s side last term.
The quality of Murphy’s performances was recognised when she won the PTWFC Player of the Month award for August last year.
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said: “Kim is a massive part of this team both on and off the park so it’s great to have her back for next season. She is a big character in the dressing room who really drives standards in training and demands a lot from her teammates all the time.
“She is a player I can always rely on to go out and do what I need of her, she’s a consistent performer and someone I know will always give 100% for the badge.”
Kim Murphy said:“I’m happy to be coming back for next season. When we were promoted last season, I was one of the players who was a bit worried about the step up but I’m really proud of how we did as a team and how I handled it personally so that’s given me confidence for next season.
“I’ve been working hard during the summer so I’m ready to go. I love it here and love pulling on the shirt, I’ll always work as hard as I can and give it my all for this team”
