Back in December the club presented supporters with the chance to get their hands on a limited edition book, curated by photographer Ray French, called ‘Kit Bags, Flags, and the Harry Wraggs’ which is an ode in photographs to the Colin Weir Stand.
Selling well over the past couple of months, there are still a limited number of books available for purchase and you can get your hands on one ahead of this Saturday’s game against Livingston because the man behind the book, Ray French, will be in the Aitken Suite from 12pm to sell copies.
Purchasable by cash or card for £35, the book comprehensively displays the interior and exterior of what was originally opened as the Grand Stand in 1927 making it a must-buy for any lover of Thistle history.
The visual aspects are supplemented by testimonies from some of Firhill’s well-kent faces such as goalkeeping coach and former player Kenny Arthur, kit man Paul McDonald and groundsman Allan Findlay who share their memories of the stand.
Copies of the book are also available to buy online – click here to find out more.
