On-loan Hearts defender Lewis Neilson has been called up to the Scotland Men’s Under-21s squad for their upcoming UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifier against Spain in Jaen.
Previously capped at Under-16 and Under-17 level, Lewis was last involved with the 21s in June when they held a training camp in Spain which included a pair of friendlies against Norway.
Now he’s Iberia-bound once again, as Scotland kick-off their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign against La Rojita on Monday, September 11th.
Consequently, like Zander MacKenzie, Lewis will miss our SPFL Trust Trophy tie against Queen of the South at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill on Saturday, 9th September.
