Partick Thistle Women’s FC is thrilled to announce that Linzi Taylor has agreed a deal to remain with the club for the 2022/23 season.
The midfielder joined the club back in January off the back of a spell playing professionally with Vikingur in Iceland having also played in Israel and Cyprus as well as the United States where she spent four years on a football scholarship at the University of Tennessee.
Linzi made her Jags debut in our first league game of 2022, a 2-2 draw against Motherwell at Alliance Park – the first of what would be 18 appearances in total.
She was able to open her goalscoring account for the club not too long after that debut as she scored Thistle’s second in a 2-2 draw against Spartans in February, adding four more before the season’s end.
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said: “Linzi made a big impact to the team since signing. She’s one of the best technical players in the league so I’m delighted she has agreed to come back again next season.
“She had a lot of other options like some others so the fact they all see Thistle as the place they want to be tells you this is a club people are proud to be part of and want to be part of what we are building next season”
Linzi Taylor said: “I’ve loved my time here so far so I’m delighted to be here again next season.
“It’s a brilliant club to be a part of and we’ve got team who play some great football so it’s good to see so many commiting again for next season,
“it’s a pleasure to be a part of that and I’m looking forward to seeing just what we can achieve next season”
