Partick Thistle Women’s FC is delighted to be able to announce that Linzi Taylor has agreed to remain at the Club for the 2023-2024 season.
Linzi joined Thistle, after a spell playing professionally in Iceland, back in January 2022 and has been a mainstay of the side ever since.
In her time at the Club Linzi has clocked up a total of 48 appearances scoring 9 goals. Four of those goals coming in the current season, including a stunning free kick that kick started a comeback win against Aberdeen that went a long way to securing a top six finish.
The fact that Linzi has made a commitment to Thistle for the season ahead is seen as an endorsement of the Club’s ambitions and desire to build upon an excellent 2022-2023 season.
Said manager Brian Graham;
“We’re delighted to get Linzi tied up again for next season. She’s a player of real quality and one of the best in her position in the league.
“Because of her quality she’s attracted interest from others in the league but the fact she has chosen to stay here at Partick Thsitle shows what we are building at the moment and players want to be a part of that and be playing for at Partick Thistle”
Linzi Taylor said: “I’m happy to be back in the Red and Yellow for another season with a fantastic group of players.
“Finishing top 6 was a brilliant achievement last season, however it’s now the benchmark for this season and I believe we can improve on it”
