Fans are reminded that, as part of our World Gaelic Week/Seachdain na Gàidhlig celebrations, the club will host live Gaelic language entertainment for fans to enjoy at half-time this evening.
Native Gaelic speaker, talented musician and alumni of the University of Glasgow, Claire Frances MacNeil will perform a traditional Gaelic song pitchside during the half-time interval of tonight’s cinch Championship fixture against Dunfermline Athletic, which is live on BBC Scotland.
This is a collaborative effort between Partick Thistle FC and UofG Gàidhlig/University of Glasgow and the club are extremely grateful for the support of the UofG Gàidhlig team.
The live performance is just one Seachdain na Gàidhlig component to tonight’s match with Gaelic speaking mascots and team announcers also joining in the celebrations.
Partick Thistle FC is proud to support Seachdain na Gàidhlig 2024, as the first Scottish professional football club to have bilingual English and Gaelic signage in situ around the stadium.
