Partick Thistle can tonight confirm the signing of striker, Salim Kouider-Aïssa, on a season-long loan deal from Livingston subject to SFA clearance.
The Glasgow native joins having scored 17 times in 36 games for Queen’s Park last season across all competitions, including 13 Ladbrokes League Two goals.
24-year-old Salim spent time with Motherwell, Stenhousemuir and Stirling Albion before a couple of prolific spells in the Juniors with Lenzie Thistle and Kilsyth Rangers, earning himself a move to Queen’s Park where he continued to find the net.
Earlier this summer, he went on trial with Livingston and impressed the Lions’ management team securing a two-year deal at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Salim made four substitute appearances so far this season for Livi but now comes to Firhill on loan to strengthen Ian McCall’s attacking options.
Everyone at Firhill offers Salim a warm welcome to the club.
Thistle manager Ian McCall said:
“We are delighted to secure Salim for this coming season. There were a number of clubs interested in Salim and I’m really pleased he chose to come to Thistle. He is a goalscorer and it says a lot about the boy that 18 months ago he was playing Junior football. I hope he really enjoys his time with us and that he does as well as a couple of unknown juniors who I signed many years ago!!”
Salim will wear squad number 19 for the 2020/21 campaign.
