LOAN NEWS: Kyle McAllister joins until the end of the season

Partick Thistle can today confirm the signing of Kyle McAllister from St. Mirren on loan until the end of the season, subject to Scottish FA clearance.

The Paisley-born midfielder graduated from the St. Mirren youth system in 2016, making his senior debut against Queen of the South aged 17.

He left Renfrewshire for the Rams in 2017 as Derby County moved to sign McAllister, however, he was soon back with the Buddies on loan before re-joining on a permanent deal ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The former Scottish youth international has played 14 times this season, scoring in his most recent appearance – a 2-0 Scottish Cup victory over Ayr at Somerset Park.

Jags manager Ian McCall said:

“I’m very happy to add Kyle to our squad for the rest of the season. He’s a talented player who’ll bring more creativity to the team from middle to front. He’s someone who brings a bit of versatility as well as his quality having played centrally and out wide before.

“He’s got a good amount of experience at Premiership level and also knows what the Championship is like from his first spell with St. Mirren so we feel he’ll be a valuable part of our team between now and the end of the season.”

Kyle will wear number 37 for the rest of the 2021/22 season.

An interview with our latest signing will be available to watch on JagZone shortly.
