Partick Thistle can today confirm the signing of Ross MacIver on loan from Motherwell until the end of the season, subject to SFA clearance.
The 22 year old striker came through the youth ranks at Ross County before joining Motherwell in the summer of 2019. Ross netted his first Premiership goal on his debut for the Steelmen, ironically against former club Ross County late in 2019.
Ross spent the first half of the 2020/21 campaign on loan with Greenock Morton, featuring against us for the ‘Ton in our Betfred Cup clash in November.
Thistle manager, Ian McCall, said:
“I am really pleased to welcome Ross to the club. He is a promising young player who is here to challenge Brian Graham and Zak Rudden for a starting position on a weekly basis.
“We need to hit the back of the net more frequently between now and the end of the season and Ross is a player who can help with this. He is a natural finisher and gives us strong competition in the striking areas.”
