Partick Thistle can today confirm that central midfielder, Shea Gordon, has joined the club on a season long loan from Ladbrokes Premiership side Motherwell, subject to SFA approval.
The Derryloughan-born midfielder began his professional career at Sheffield United before swapping Yorkshire for Lanarkshire in January 2017. Having captained youth sides at the Blades, he has also represented Northern Ireland at under 17, 19 and 21 level.
It was a frustrating season for Shea last campaign as injury prevented him from making an impact in Motherwell’s side during a successful season for the Fir Park side. Now, back to full fitness, Shea comes to Maryhill looking to get plenty of game time in the Ladbrokes Championship with the Jags. Our new number 14 is a midfielder who likes to get about the pitch and link up play between the backline and the attack.
