Partick Thistle are pleased to confirm the signing of Declan McDaid on loan from Dundee for the rest of the season, subject to Scottish FA clearance and conditional on League One restarting.
The entertaining winger returns for a second spell with the club having spent almost four seasons as a Jag between 2013 and 2017, featuring 26 times for the first team after progressing from the under-20 squad.
A very successful two-and-a-half-year spell with Ayr United followed Declan’s departure from Firhill before his move to Dundee in June 2019.
Thistle manager, Ian McCall, said:
“Declan is a player I know very well having managed him for a number of years at Ayr United – he had two excellent seasons in League One and the Championship. He is an exciting, attacking player who has pace, isn’t afraid to take players on and can play both wide and through the middle. It really strengthens our attacking options in that area of the squad. Declan will continue to train with Dundee until we are permitted to return to training at which point he will join up with our squad.”
The Club would also like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the assistance and flexibility of Dundee Football Club on this matter.
