Partick Thistle WFC are thrilled to confirm that 23/24 Young Player of the Year Lucy Sinclair will be returning to Petershill Park as a Partick Thistle player for the 2024-2025.
Lucy enjoyed a successful first season as a Thistle player as the club claimed back-to-back top six finishes.
After a short trial period last pre-season Lucy joined Thistle from Hamilton Accies ahead of the start of last season.
Capped at under 15 and 17 levels for Scotland, Lucy made 39 appearances in the Thistle midfield last season, scoring four times. The pick of those four goals probably the double that secured a 2-0 win away to Hibs.
As Brian Graham assembles his squad for the 2024-2025 the fact that Lucy will remain a key part of his squad is a real boost.
Lucy said:
“I was proud to be named as Young Player of the Year. I really enjoyed my first season here and felt I did well over the season.
“It’s a great club to learn at and I feel I can do that even more next season. I just have to work hard over the summer now to try and improve on this season and try to push the club forward even more”
Commented manager Brian Graham;
“Lucy has had a great first season for the team which was shown by winning Young Player of the Year.
“You sometimes forget how young she actually is and I think she can push on again next season.
“We asked her to play a few different midfield roles last season and she adapted to all of them without a problem, that versatility can only be good for the team”
