Partick Thistle Women’s FC are excited to announce the signing of Lucy Sinclair for the duration of the 2023/24 campaign.
The midfielder joins us after a short period in training with the squad which included three goals, one against Montrose then a double against Kilmarnock at the weekend.
Sinclair joins us from Hamilton Accies where she has spent the last two seasons, featuring regularly at SWPL1 level and playing a key role in Hamilton’s top flight survival last term; producing a Player of the Match performance in the play-off final against Gartcairn.
She has also previously spent time with Motherwell and Glasgow City, earning Scotland youth caps at under 15s and under 17s level during her time with the Scottish champions.
After the signing was confirmed, PTWFC manager Brian Graham said:
“It’s great to be able to welcome Lucy to the club. She’s a player who we’ve come up against plenty of times over the past couple of seasons and I’ve always been very impressed with the way she plays.
“Seeing more of her in training these past couple of weeks and then in the friendlies has shown me that she’s a player who would fit in well with the squad we’ve got here at the club.
“Like Emma Lawton, who we signed last week, Lucy is still a young player who has developing to do and that’s the exciting part. We want to give her the platform to go and be the best player she can be.”
Lucy Sinclair said:
“It’s really exciting for me to be joining the club. I’ve known it might happen for a couple of weeks but to get it all confirmed is a great feeling.
“Speaking to Brian and Ross about the type of football they want to play here, I think it suits me perfectly and hopefully it’ll will give me the chance to push on and improve different aspects of my game.
“The group have been so welcoming in the time I’ve spent training and I just can’t wait to get stuck into the new season.”
