On Friday June 17, young Thistle supporter Luke Wallace was attacked as he walked home from a nearby shop. As a result of the injuries he sustained, sadly he passed away at Glasgow Royal Infirmary a week later.
Luke loved Thistle, attending home and away games, and was known to many Jags fans. He was also a talented footballer himself, playing on a regular basis for Drumchapel Amateurs. on Saturday, during an afternoon of tributes to the youngster, the Club will have a minute’s applause prior to kick off to celebrate his life, which was so cruelly cut short at only 16 years old. On behalf of everyone connected to Partick Thistle, Manager Alan Archibald and Director Jacqui Low attended Luke’s funeral. Again, today, we offer our sincerest condolences to his family for their terrible loss.
RIP Luke – “Once a Jag, Always a Jag”.
