Partick Thistle can today confirm that goalkeeper Mason McCready is heading to Gretna 2008 on a 7-day emergency loan deal, subject to Scottish FA clearance.
The 18-year-old ‘stopper, who came off the bench in Thistle’s recent friendly win over East Kilbride, joins the Anvils on an emergency basis ahead of their Lowland League fixture against University of Stirling this weekend.
McCready was one of four Thistle Weir Youth Academy products who signed two-year modern apprentice contracts with the club this summer having spent the back end of the 20/21 campaign training with the first team.
