McArthur Scott PTWFC April Player of the Month

April was another busy month for Partick Thistle WFC with a series of impressive performances while facing the demands of post-split top six football.

It was a real team effort throughout the month with every player playing their part, as such it was a difficult choice to choose just four.

The four nominees for the April McArthur Scott Player of the Month award are:

Demi Falconer

It’s been yet another hugely impressive month for the Club Captain who has led by example from the heart of the Thistle defence. A Partick Thistle player now for over six seasons and has been setting the standards ever since as she starts to close in on 200 appearances for the Club.

Kate Fraser

The 18-year-old has been enjoying a season long loan with Partick Thistle WFC from Hearts and has proven to be a real asset.

Thrust into the Thistle defence while others have not been available, April was arguably Kate’s most impressive month as a Partick Thistle player.

Playing in three of the four fixtures in April, as per the terms of her loan deal she was unable to play against her parent club in the other, Kate has displayed a level of maturity and composure that belies her youth.

Addie Handley

A summer signing from Hearts Addie, a Scotland under 23 cap as recently as last month, has been in outstanding form across the whole season with her performances against the top sides in the country during April a testament to her ability.
Quick and direct she offers an attacking outlet from the right back position as well as being a more than accomplished defender

Erin Rennie

Erin has been enjoying a fantastic first season as a Partick Thistle player missing just three games across the course of the season.

The former Spartans player has been a lynchpin of the Thistle midfield this season and that consistently excellent form was recognised when she received the Player of the Match award in the recent fixture against Glasgow City at Firhill and by her recent Scotland Under-23 call up.
