November saw Partick Thistle return to winning ways at Firhill following a disappointing start to the month.
Arbroath were defeated at Firhill in mid-November as the Jags pushed themselves back into the top half of an extremely competitive division before Kelty Hearts visited Maryhill on Scottish Cup duty as we secured a fourth round spot.
After a strong end to the month we have four candidates for the McCrea Financial Services November Player of the Month award.
Brian Graham
Brian returned from a bout of injury and illness to lead the Jags attack for the second half of the month. Netting the opening goals in both matches, from set pieces in front of the Lambie, Brian has climbed above 40 goals in his Thistle career and will have his eyes set on breaking 50 goals and breaking into the top 50 all-time at the Club. Does Brian earn your vote for the Player of the Month for November?
Jack McMillan
Jack has played the most minutes of any player in the squad, featuring competitively in every game so far this season. The full back’s play has been earning rave reviews as the Jags number two played his part in keeping consecutive clean sheets towards the end of the month. His attacking play has also been showcased with eight assists already registered in the campaign to date with another two assists registered throughout November. Will Jack earn his first Player of the Month award?
Harry Milne
Harry Milne has captured the attention of the Red and Yellow Army since he penned a deal to join the Jags from Cove Rangers. Adjusting quickly to full time football, Thistle’s number three had a stunning November – netting his first Jags goals and adding more heroic play to his game. A double against Dundee ended in disappointment but it was against Arbroath where Harry had a few moments that will be remembered for the rest of the campaign. After stooping to head Thistle three goals ahead against the Red Litchies, Harry produced a sensational diving goalline header to ensure a first clean sheet was recorded since September – a talented piece of play from a talented player. Will Harry claim his second Player of the Month award this campaign?
Kyle Turner
The midfield department is one of the most competitive throughout the whole squad but over the last month Kyle Turner has established himself as a key part with a series of impressive performances. The man who led the league in assists last campaign returned to strong form, setting up three goals while bagging another himself. Kyle had a direct goal involvement for each of the three strikes against Arbroath and provided the assist for the game opener against Kelty Hearts last Saturday. Does Kyle deserve your vote?
