As competitive football draws closer, Thistle have received another boost with McCrea Mortgages, a division of McCrea Financial Services, confirmed as an official club sponsor for the season ahead.
Within the renewed partnership, the club is today thrilled to announce that McCrea Mortgages will sponsor the popular Player of The Month awards for season 2020/21, with all winners once again voted for by supporters.
Before the first-team even kick a ball, McCrea Mortgages will work with the club to present a special one-off “PTFC Supporter Recognition Award” as a thank you to the outstanding contribution to their community made by a fan or group of fans during lockdown. The nomination process for this award will be revealed on Monday.
Douglas McCrea, Managing Director of McCreas said: “We’re delighted to renew our sponsorship of Partick Thistle for this important season ahead, as longstanding supporters of the club. The player of the month awards have been synonymous with McCrea Financial Services over the years and we are thrilled to be back supporting the club and hope it adds to a successful season ahead for Ian and the team.
“The way the support has rallied behind the club in such a difficult year has been fantastic, although Thistle fans have always been brilliant in that sense. In such a uniquely challenging year, we wanted to recognise a supporter or group who have gone above and beyond with this one-off award to say thanks and show our appreciation for everything they have done.”
At the end of each month of the 2020/21 season the McCrea Mortgages Player of The Month shortlist will be determined by the Thistle management team, with the winner chosen by supporters in a vote and the winning player presented with his award at the start of the following month.
