McCrea Mortgages January Moment of the Month – The Final

Last week Thistle fans submitted their nominations for a special retro McCrea Mortgages January Moment of the Month award.

Nominations could have included a favourite match, memorable goal or anything else associated with the Club – the only rule was that it must have taken place in the month of January.

We’re down to the final two candidates for the McCrea Mortgages January Moment of the Month award.

Voting is now open for the final on the Partick Thistle twitter account and through ptfc.co.uk. The nomination with the most votes, accumulatively on the Jags twitter account and right here at ptfc.co.uk, will be crowned the McCrea Mortgages January Moment of the Month award.

The final two contenders are:

Tennent’s Sixes success – January 1993. An incredible weekend at the SECC saw Thistle return to Firhill with the trophy. Two days of entertainment with a fantastic atmosphere saw a strong Thistle side compete and progress through to the final stages. A thrilling final saw Thistle emerge victorious against Airdrieonians to win a trophy that we hold to this day! Click here to vote for this moment.
Kris Doolan scoring four goals against Hamilton Accies – January 2015. A cold midweek night at Firhill was the stage for Kris Doolan to become the first player in the Premiership era to score the perfect hat-trick. A close-range finish opened the scoring before a trademark Doolan touch, turn and clinical finish doubled the lead. The hat-trick was secured in sensational fashion with a back heel into the corner of the net from 10 yards.
