At our most recent home fixture, against Ayr United, Carol-Ann Hurst was presented with the McDonald’s Community Champion award by club director Caroline Mackie.
A well-kent face at Petershill Park, Carol-Ann works for the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust offering a helping hand wherever needed at Peasy to keep the facilities in ship-shape for all those who use them, including our men’s and women’s teams.
She was nominated for the McDonald’s Community Champion award off the back of the work she did during the festive period to support vulnerable members of the local community.
Carol-Ann was instrumental in the preparation of festive parcels that were delivered to individuals who weren’t able to leave the house and also volunteered her time to help deliver the Charitable Trust’s Christmas dinner event at Petershill Park.
The Trust welcomed 80 guests in on Christmas Day and Carol-Ann was one of the first in to help set up the day prior and one of the last in clearing up afterwards – even organising for surplus food to be donated to a local homeless shelter.
Congratulations on a well-deserved award, Carol-Ann!
