Partick Thistle Football Club can confirm that Jags attacker, Miles Storey, has signed a revised contract for the forthcoming season and has been removed from the transfer list.
The 24-year-old has featured heavily for Alan Archibald’s side during pre-season and the opening stages of the Betfred Cup and will now remain at The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill for the rest of the 2018/19 season.
Speaking to ptfc.co.uk shortly after penning his new contract, Miles said:
“I’m glad to have sorted out my future and to stay at Partick Thistle for the upcoming season. It’s going to be an exciting year as the Club pushes for promotion back to the Ladbrokes Premiership and I am certain that I can help make that happen.
“It was always my first choice to remain a Jag – I’m very happy here – so I’m delighted to have got everything sorted. I don’t think Thistle fans have seen me anywhere near my best yet but I’m determined to put that right this season.
“Everyone at the club have always been incredibly supportive of me and I’m looking to pay them back by adding the goals and performances that can send the Club back to where it belongs. That is now my one and only focus.”
Manager Alan Archibald said:
“I’m delighted that Miles has signed a new contract for the season ahead and I know he is hungry and desperate to impress. His pace and power adds a different dimension to our strike force and gives me another option in attack. I think Miles has already had an impact on the pitch this season and he will cause a lot of problems for defenders.
“With the uncertainty over Miles’ future now gone, I can continue to look to add more quality players to the squad as we look to fulfil our sole aim for the season – promotion back to the Ladbrokes Premiership.”
