Mouhamed Niang today signed a contract extension that will see him remain at the Club until May 2021.
The 20 year old joined the club just over a year ago having battled through a lengthy and complicated work permit process and has been rewarded for his hard work with his first professional contract as a footballer.
Niang graduated from the Pollok United Soccer Academy in the summer of 2017 after having captained the U19s the previous season and went on to feature for the Lok first team.
The tough tackling midfielder spent time out on loan with Cumnock for the second half of last season before returning sharp for pre-season training earlier this year. He appeared on the bench for Thistle during the Betfred Cup group stages before making his competitive Jags debut with a positive showing in a Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup tie against Montrose.
His performance was so impressive that the League One club were persuaded to take the Jags number 30 on loan until January. It has been an impressive start to his loan spell with the Gable Endies losing just a single league game to date since Mouhamed joined up with the squad at the end of September.
