As some player’s Jags careers come to an end there are always new ones starting and that is certainly the case for the five new modern apprentices who will step up from the Thistle Weir Youth Academy to join Scott MacKenzie’s side to train full time as of the start of pre-season.
Aidan Fitzpatrick, Jack Livesey, Lee Duncanson, John Kelly and Anton Eadie were all at the stadium last night to meet first team manager, Alan Archibald and their new coach, Scott MacKenzie. All five have already made their debuts in the development squad and will now be looking to follow in the footsteps of Stuart Bannigan, Ryan Scully, Liam Lindsay, Kevin Nisbet, James Penrice, Andy McCarthy, Neil McLaughlin and Ross Fleming in their pursuit of first team football.
We hope that you will join us in welcoming the new intake of youngsters and hopefully we will see them all playing senior football in red and yellow during the coming seasons.
