No-one deserves to spend Christmas on their tod!
That’s why the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust is once again launching its Christmas appeal to help ensure that the elderly people in our community, who would otherwise be spending Christmas alone, can enjoy the most special day of the year at the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill. In fact, this year the Trust is expanding the event to also invite families living in hardship to spend Christmas Day at the stadium.
HOWEVER – In order to make this a memorable day for all who come along … WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The plan for the day includes a traditional Christmas dinner, some entertainment and a small gift for each of the 80 guests! To achieve all that we are going to need some help.
So, how can you help? Well, there are two main ways you can help make the event a success:
Donate a gift
To help make sure everyone goes away from the day with a wee something from Santa we are looking for a range of different gifts, including:
Alternatively, you can make a cash donation towards the overall running of the event. You can do this by donating online here.
Donations of gifts and toiletries can be made at the Jackie Husband Stand pre-match between 1pm – 3pm on the following two match days:
*We ask that you please pre-wrap any gifts and note who the gift is suitable for (e.g. Boy 3-5yrs).
Be a Christmas volunteer
We are looking for volunteers to fill a range of roles to help make the day really special. Think you can help? Well here’s what we are looking for:
