Partick Thistle Football Club can provide the following update to supporters following yesterday’s director resignations.
Firstly, to ensure immediate stability for the club for the rest of the season, we today announce the appointment of Richard Beastall and Fergus Maclennan of The PTFC Trust and Caroline Mackie, nominated by The Jags Foundation, on to the PTFC Board, joining Duncan Smillie and working with CEO Gerry Britton.
Partick Thistle CEO Gerry Britton said: “We are very grateful to each for their commitment to work with all supporter groups to drive rapid progress for the good of the club and anticipate another announcement early next week as we further bolster the board. Meantime, we all agree the immediate focus must be backing the players and management team a week on Saturday.”
The club also welcomes today’s earlier joint update by the PTFC Trust and The Jags Foundation and that they are aligned on delivering the very best fan ownership future for Partick Thistle FC.
We look forward to working with both groups in unity and we share their focus on the next fixture of the men’s first team at home to Ayr United on Saturday 17 December.
