Partick Thistle FC update and thank you to fans

Some 48 hours on from the sudden suspension of League One and Scottish Cup football until the end of the month, the Partick Thistle Board would like to say a sincere thank you to all fans for the way they have rallied in support of the club since.

Perhaps most significantly, everyone at Firhill is hugely grateful to all supporters who have donated to the “Help The Jags” GoFundMe fundraising page so far after a further £20,000 was transferred to the club. The total raised via this page has now passed £67,000 which is an incredible effort given the ongoing circumstances which present their own challenges and difficulties to all of you.

As was alluded to in our statement on Monday, we will be making use of the government furlough scheme and so operating with significantly reduced staffing for the rest of the month. We appreciate your patience and understanding in response to any queries and ask you to note that outgoing postage from the club will be weekly during this period.

We will continue to make available all the various ways you can continue to support the club – such as Centenary Fund, 50/50 Draw, Commemorative Tiles, Player Sponsorship and Calendars – please visit ptfc.co.uk for more details. Our friends at Greaves Sports continue to offer the full range of Thistle kit, training wear, leisurewear and gifts, all available to order online at greavessports.com

In the absence of live football for the next few Saturdays and all that goes with it, we will again deliver alternative content for your enjoyment such as Goals Of The Day, Lockdown interviews with former Firhill favourites, exclusive competitions and more – keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube channels in the days ahead.

Finally, and most importantly of all, we continue to encourage you to follow all government and NHS advice and take good care of yourselves and one another. There is nothing more important than the wellbeing of all connected with Partick Thistle – stay safe.
