Partick Thistle Open Day 2023 – timings confirmed

The Partick Thistle Open Day returns this Sunday, with Jackie Husband Stand doors opening at 12noon at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill, for another fun-filled afternoon of activities for Jags fans of all ages.

Pitch Parade, one of the UK’s leading football entertainment providers, will be at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill on Sunday in the latest addition to a day which promises fun for all the family. Pitch Parade are a company managed and run by massive Thistle fans who reached out to the club to help with our open day and will be supplying Football darts, Panna, Teqball and Subsoccer games on Sunday for all of the Red and Yellow Army to enjoy throughout the afternoon. Pitch Parade’s Ross Brown will also show off his skills as one of the country’s top professional football freestylers and invite fans to try a trick or two as well.

Our friends from the Firhill Basin, Scottish Rowing, will once again be operating taster sessions on the water, in association with the Firhill Youth Project. Sessions get underway at 12:30pm and are suitable for all Jags aged 12 and older. Sign up on Sunday in the Jackie Husband Stand car park.

If rowing skills aren’t your strong point, there will be plenty of entertainment with live music to savour courtesy of our Open Day busker, Kyle O’Donnell before you enjoy the men’s team open training session.  Members of the Thistle women’s team will be pitchside for photos and autographs and, with tasty ice cream on offer and a face painter on duty, there will be loads of options to keep young fans entertained.

Food and drink will be available from the Jackie Husband Stand concourses from our retail partners, Pie Sports. The bar within the Alan Rough Lounge will be open for refreshments. Stalls representing supporter associations from The Jags Foundation, the Disabled Supporters’ Association and Proud Jags to Her Game Too and Jags For Good will also be in operation within the Alan Rough Lounge on Sunday.

You can get kitted out in style thanks to the Greaves Sports store which will be open within the south end of the concourse – the perfect chance to grab those freshly re-stocked Thistle essentials!

After the open training session, meet the entire Thistle men’s team with a squad signing session in the Jackie Husband Stand concourse before you get the chance to grill the gaffer, Kris Doolan, with our meet the manager session.

Junior Jags will be able to collect their 2023/24 goody bag on Sunday and if you haven’t renewed your membership yet, there will be the chance to sign up for the season ahead with our Junior Jag sign-up station.

If you haven’t quite got round to getting your season ticket for the upcoming campaign, we will be able to process your season ticket purchase in the Alan Rough Lounge on Sunday, to help you secure your seat for the league campaign ahead.

All Jags fans young and old, season ticket holders and non-season ticket holders alike, are invited to the Wyre Stadium at Firhill for Sunday’s event which is, once again, completely FREE.
