Nearly six months on from their last match, Partick Thistle Women’s FC returned to training this week as preparations began for the rescheduled SWPL 2 season.
The 2020 league term was just one game old back in March when all play was suspended and the decision was taken to void the start to the campaign and restart the season. Now the SWPL 2 will return on Sunday, October 18th with Thistle taking on Glasgow Women.
Tuesday night represented the first day back for the squad ahead of that clash with Glasgow Women as coach and secretary, Beth Adamson, took the session while our search for a new head coach continues.
New Covid-19 protocols were in place, such as temperature testing and the sanitisation of equipment, to ensure a safe return to football for our players and staff.
