Partick Thistle Women’s FC are delighted to announce the signing of young goalkeeper Lucy MacNair.
The 17-year-old shot stopper came through the academy of Spartans where she featured in the first team squad on a number of occasions before making the move to Alloa Athletic earlier this year.
As well as her footballing talent, Lucy also represents Scotland at Water Polo.
She featured in the last two squads as a trialist but now becomes a fully fledged Jag.
Speaking after the signing head coach David Elliot said: “We’ve been trying to bring in competition for Jeni int he goalkeeping department and Lucy provides that.
“She is young and has a lot of development to do but she came highly recommended to us and from having her in training, we can see why.
“She is really keen to learn from Jeni and the goalkeeping coaches and I think she will thrive under the training here”
Lucy MacNair said:
“I’m really happy to become a Thistle player. All my family are Thistle fans so this is a really special moment for me and for them.
“I’ve loved being in over the last few weeks and the training has been brilliant, I feel I have learned so much already. I’m really excited to get started.”
