PTW Squad Update

As we gear up for a new season after another successful, top six, season for Partick Thistle WFC we can provide an update on the squad and the players whose association with the Club will sadly be coming to an end.

Leaving Thistle at the expiry of their contracts are:

Addie Handley

Addie Handley will leave the club to sign a full-time contract elsewhere. In doing so she becomes the latest Partick Thistle player to go on to full-time football after a spell at Petershill Park.

Addie was an ever present in the Thistle side last season starting every one of Thistle’s 33 league and cup matches scoring twice, establishing herself in the Scotland under-23 squad and impressing a great many observers.

Erin Rennie

Erin leaves Petershill Park having got herself in the Scotland Under-23’s while a Partick Thistle player and goes on to also sign a professional contract elsewhere..

Erin joined Thistle last summer having most recently been with Spartans. The midfielder made her Thistle debut against Hamilton on the opening day of last season and marked her debut by scoring an injury time winner in Thistle’s 2-1 win.

In total Erin made 33 appearances for Thistle scoring 3 times.

Lia Tweedie

Lia Tweedie leaves the club due to family reasons.

Tweedie joined Thistle last close season from Hibernian and finished her one season with Thistle as the Club’s leading scorer with six goals. A total that included a hat-trick against Livingston in the Sky Sports Cup.

Injury unfortunatly kept Lia out of the team in the closing stages of last season as she finished the season having made 26 Thistle appearances.

Lucy Sinclair

Lucy had been part of the Thistle squad since the start of the 2023-24 season and was a regular starter in the team until a serious injury in a fixture away to Dundee United in April 2025 kept her on the sidelines for over a year. Lucy made a welcome return to action from that injury on the final day of last season as Thistle drew 1-1 with Celtic.

In total Lucy made 67 appearances for Thistle scoring 6 goals.

Olivia King

In total Olivia spent a season and a half as a Thistle player, joining the club from Queen’s Park in January 2025. Quickly establishing herself in the Thistle side she made 11 appearances in her first half season as a Thistle player and a further 29 times last season. Olivia also contributed three goals during her time as a Thistle player the pick of those goals a spectacular free kick against Celtic.

Rebecca McAllister

Rebecca joined Thistle having most recently been with Hearts in December 2023 and made her debut the following January in a 2-0 home win over Aberdeen.

A number of small injuries limited the appearances the midfielder was able to make across her two and a half seasons as a Thistle player.

In total Rebecca clocked up 55 appearances in the Red and Yellow of Thistle, scoring once.

Mya Bates

All of the 8 appearances that Mya made as a Partick Thistle player came in the early stages of last season before she took a break from football. The highlight of Mya’s time as a Thistle player being a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw away to Motherwell. She has since signed for Gartcairn

Tanna Hollis

Tanna, a South African international, joined Thistle in January and was an important squad member in the second half of last season. In total Tanna wore a Thistle jersey in 14 fixtures.

Lucy Turner

Lucy was an early season capture last season arriving from Ayr United where she had impressed in SWPL2.

Lucy was a near permanent feature in the Thistle matchday squad with all three of her Jags appearances coming from the substitute bench.

The following players have returned to their parent club upon the conclusion of their loan spell and we thank them for their efforts as well as their parent clubs.

Kate Fraser

Kate spent the entirety of the 2025-26 season with Thistle on loan from Hearts and was an important member of the squad as that top six place was secured. In total Kate made 23 appearances as a Thistle player.

Sienna McGoldrick

Sienna joined Thistle on loan from Celtic on the day of the final post-split fixture and came off the bench to score a most dramatic injury time winning goal in a 3-2 win over Hamilton Accies, a win that secured a top six finish for Thistle.

Sienna made 9 appearances for Thistle at the tail end of last season.

Isla Taylor

Isla was a January loan signing from Hibernian and made a big impact in her time at Petershill Park. Playing ten times for Thistle, Isla scored two goals including a vital goal in a hugely important 2-1 away win against Montrose. Since leaving Thistle Isla has signed a two year professional deal with Hibernian.

The grateful thanks and best wishes for the future are extended to all players who have left the club and we wish them all the best for their future careers.

We’ll be in a position to announce some new faces  for the upcoming season very soon.
