Partick Thistle Women’s FC is thrilled to announce the double loan signing of London Pollard and Summer Christie from Celtic ahead of our SWPL 1 opener against Aberdeen this Sunday.
Firstly, Pollard joins the club on a loan deal until December. The young attacker earned her move to Celtic earlier this year, having played some top flight football with Forfar Farmington. She scored her first Celtic goal back in June against Motherwell at the Excelsior Stadium.
Also making the move from the East End is Summer Christie who joins on a season-long deal to bolster Brian Graham’s midfield options. The 17-year-old, who has represented Scotland at under 16s level, spent time on loan with Forfar Farmington in SWPL 1 last season.
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said: “London and Summer are two exciting signings. London has bags of pace and is really direct, she will add to our striking options and really give us another option at the top end of the park.
Summer has experience at this level at such a young age and is great on the ball. She will help us create from midfield and give us another outlet to make chances for our strikers.
