PTWFC add young attacker on loan

Partick Thistle Women are delighted to announce the signing of young winger Isla Taylor on loan from SWPL champions Hibernian until the end of the season.

The 16-year-old made her first-team debut for the Edinburgh side last season at just 15 years of age, going on to make several appearances as Hibernian lifted the SWPL title.

Taylor scored her first senior goal during pre-season and also featured in the UEFA Women’s Champions League aged only 15, appearing against Apollon.

A Scotland Under-17 international, Taylor arrives at Petershill Park to add further attacking options to Gary Holt’s squad as the team enters an important stage of the campaign.

Speaking after joining the club, Isla said:

“I’m excited to be here. Thistle have a great reputation for developing young players within their first team, so it was the perfect place for me to come, learn, and gain more first-team experience.

“As soon as I spoke to the manager, I was keen to come. He spoke about what I can bring to the team, but also how he and the staff can help me develop.”

Manager Gary Holt added:

“I’m really happy to bring Isla into the squad. She was a player I was very keen on attracting to the club.

She’s direct, comfortable using both feet, and has real pace — I think she’ll really excite our supporters.

“She’s the perfect example of a young, hungry player who I believe we can help improve and develop here at the club.”
