Partick Thistle Women’s FC are delighted to confirm we have accepted an invitation from SWF of promotion to SWPL1, from this coming season, after the withdrawal of Forfar Farmington.
Manager Brian Graham said: “We are surprised but very pleased to have been promoted to SWPL1. The team fought so hard on the pitch last season, just narrowly missing out on promotion, reflecting the huge progress made by PTWFC in recent years. There will undoubtedly be challenges ahead but we are up for them.
“However, we can’t forget that this promotion comes as a result of Forfar Farmington FC leaving SWPL1. We’d like to wish them all the best for whatever comes next for their club.”
