Partick Thistle Women’s FC has received three nominations for the Scottish Women’s Football annual awards.
With the side preparing for the final game of the SWPL 2 season with promotion to Scotland’s top flight still possible, three of the players and management staff have been nominated for the SWF’s yearly awards.
Firstly, manager Brian Graham is one of four candidates for the Coach of the Year award. In his debut season with the team, he’s led PTWFC to third place in the SWPL 2 with one game of the season left to play. Celtic’s Fran Alonso, Glasgow City’s Scott Booth and Aberdeen’s Emma Hunter are also up for the award.
Jags forward Clare Docherty has been nominated for the SWPL 2 Player of the Season prize. The number eight has been in terrific form this season, particularly since the league returned from its enforced break last month. The Thistle top scorer has netted a total of 10 goals this term including six in seven games since the SWPL 2 restart. Clare is up against Aberdeen’s Bayley Hutchison, Hamilton’s Josephine Giard and Dundee United’s Robyn Smith for the award.
The final nomination is for the Goal of the Season award and Amy Bulloch is the player nominated for her phenomenal volley against Stirling University last November. Her goal is one of ten candidates and unlike the other two awards, the Goal of the Season is decided by a public vote so please support Amy’s bid to win by voting HERE.
