There’s no game this Sunday for Partick Thistle Women’s FC, however, the Jags do have some Monday night football to contend with though as they take on Motherwell in the SWPL Cup.
The fixture was supposed to be the team’s first of 2020 but was postponed due to the heavy weather that Scotland was experiencing in February. Now, it will be played next Monday the 9th March with an 8pm klick-off at the Penny Cars Stadium in Airdrie.
Ahead of the game, Thistle sit in second place in Group D with four points while Motherwell are a point behind in third. A win for John Doyle’s side would see them top the group and secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
