Queen’s Park at Firhill

Partick Thistle FC can confirm that it has reached agreement with Queen’s Park FC to allow the Spiders men’s first team the use of Firhill Stadium for home games during season 2021/22.

The arrangement takes effect from the beginning of the Premier Sports Cup group stage in July and will cover Queen’s Park’s cup and League 1 fixtures.

Within the agreement, where both clubs are scheduled to play a home match on the same weekend or midweek, Partick Thistle will reserve the right to play first, subject to broadcast arrangements.

Gerry Britton, Partick Thistle CEO, said: “This arrangement with Queen’s Park while they prepare their new home at Lesser Hampden brings welcome income to the club at a time when revenue streams are significantly curtailed and will have a positive impact on the manager’s budget for next season. We hope our friends at Queen’s Park enjoy their time at Firhill and wish them all the best for their 2021/22 campaign.”
