Partick Thistle Women’s FC is thrilled to reveal that Rebecca McGowan has agreed a deal with the club for the 2022/23 campaign.
The all-action midfielder joined Brian Graham’s Jags in September last year from St Johnstone off the back of a season that saw her win the SWPL 2 side’s Players’ Player of the Season award.
She has quickly established herself as a key member of the team with her energy and hard work ensuring that no opposing midfielder has an easy game when she’s on the pitch.
The number 16 has also shown her quality going forward with three goals to her name this term including a go-ahead goal in our 3-2 league win over Hibernian and an extra-time winner against Boroughmuir Thistle in the Scottish Cup.
Manager Brian Graham Said: “We’re thrilled Bex has agreed to extend her stay at Thistle. She has been excellent since coming in from St Johnstone last summer and become a really important part of our side with her energy in the middle of the park.
“She’s still young and learning so is only going to get better which is a scary thought for the rest of the division and I can’t wait to have her back in our midfield next season.”
Rebecca McGowan said: “I didn’t even have to think about it when Brian asked me to come back next season, I’ve loved every minute of my time here since signing.
“I came in just after the start of the season last year so I’m looking forward to getting a full pre season with the team and building on what we’ve achived as a team this season”
