Partick Thistle WFC are excited to be able to confirm that Rosie Slater will be returning for the 2024/25 season with the club.
Slater has just completed her third season with the Jags and the defender played more in this most recent campaign than in either of the previous two, making 34 total appearances including 27 starts.
She also managed to get her first goals for the club as she found the back of the net on three occasions, starting with a stunning volley in a 3-1 win away at Aberdeen.
Her most memorable goal of the season though was undoubtedly her most recent one which came in Thistle’s historic Sky Sports Cup semi-final victory over Hibernian at Petershill Park with Rosie’s left-footed rocket sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Deployed anywhere across the back four at various points during the season, Slater’s efforts were key to a second consecutive top six finish for Brian Graham’s side.
Rosie Slater said: “I’m really looking forward to my fourth season as a Thistle player. I love playing here and my family come along every week so this club is a really special place for us all.
“This season will be hard to top with our achievements but we seem to be saying that every summer so I can’t wait to see what we can do next season”
Manager Brian Graham said: “I think Rosie is improving year on year at this football club. You saw last season what she can bring to the team in a number of positions at the back. She is comfortable on the left but also made the centre of defence her own for large parts of the season.
She even started chipping in with some goals too so I’m looking forward to having her back next season:”
