Partick Thistle can today confirm that Ross MacIver will join Alloa Athletic on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season, subject to Scottish FA clearance.
The 23-year-old joins Brian Rice’s Wasps having made 26 appearances for Thistle so far this season.
The former Ross County player joined us from Motherwell on loan in March, scoring twice in eight games before signing a one-year deal with the club last summer.
This season his standout moment came against Raith Rovers in December when he set up Kyle Turner’s injury time winner with a well-placed knockdown from Scott Tiffoney’s cross.
Everyone at Thistle wishes Ross all the best during his time on loan at Alloa Athletic.
Thistle manager Ian McCall said:
“This is a move that will allow Ross to get some more playing time which is what he really needs at this point of his career. With Juan joining the club opportunities were going to be even harder to come by for Ross so it makes sense for him to go out on loan.
“Ross has been a credit to himself since he joined the club on loan last season and has popped up with a couple of key contributions for us. We wish him the best of luck with Alloa.”
